VG (Very Good) An average ‘used’ copy. Still complete in every way, but has more obvious faults. A small tear. A heavier crease or two on the cover. Multiple spine creases OK.

Is CGC or PSA better?
CGC is already gaining popularity. They have more advanced grading techniques, more detailed grades, and faster turnaround time. As more and more are turned off of PSA strictly due to wait times, I think CGC sees an increase in popularity.

Reputation. CGC is well-regarded and there have been no major issues with their grading. According to anecdotal evidence from a number of collectors, CGC has incredibly stringent grading standards. Their Pristine 10 rating is on par with Beckett’s Black Label.
